The SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada has a reputation (rightly earned or not) for being a bit long on the flash and a little light on anything of real substance for the automotive aftermarket. Each year, the Specialty Equipment Manufacturer's Association holds this gigantic convention of all-things-automotive—and it really is a sight to see.  We go to meet our customers, vendors and find new connections that will help us restore old Porsches.  

What started out as a simple clean-up of the front suspension escalated quickly.  We're elbows deep in a complete freshening to make the bottom of the car as beautiful as the top.  

We spent some time on an in-ground chassis dynamometer to make sure that our 1973.5 911T's Bosch CIS fuel injection was performing as it should.  

We get lucky on the rust in the front of our 911 and don't have to replace the suspension pan.

We are involved with the 356 Club of Southern California's annual Dana Point Concours every year—it's a fantastic place to see some of the best early Porsches in the world and we never miss the chance to help out, take pictures and talk to our friends and customers in the industry. 

Nothing beats a good road trip. We went to Porsches to Ohio this past weekend,  enjoying the get together with a few of our project cars.   While we were there, we snapped a few images of some our cars that we brought as well as plenty of the cool Porsches that were in attendance. 

This week on Overhaulin' with Chip Foose, they will be fixing up a 1962 356. The show initially airs on Velocity Channel at 9pm on 7/29.  The work was done in conjunction with Rod Emory at Emory Motorsports and uses parts from Stoddard. Our 1969 912's engine build is coming along. We've gotten the heads back from the machine shop and the engine is going back together with new bearings, pistons and cylinders. 

The fuel tank on any vintage car can be the source of much aggravation—and in many cases, it can be the cause of many a car's early demise.  We theorized that a rusty tank was one of the original reasons our car was laid up in a Montana barn for over a decade.
