912 Rendezvous: 15 Years Strong And More Fun Than Ever

For a number of years now, we’ve been attending the Porsche 912 Registry’s Rendezvous event. It’s somewhat telling that we keep coming back, as this event is certainly one worth putting on your calendar year after year. Admittedly we love Porsche’s 912 as an extension of the 356 line of cars, but it is often the owners of these cars that really makes the difference. If the 912 owners that attend the Rendezvous weren’t some of the nicest folks we have ever met, we probably wouldn’t be coming back every year, no matter how fun the cars are.

The 2014 Porsche 912 Rendezvous From Yosemite National Park

 

A few weeks ago, we attended the annual 912 Rendezvous gathering of enthusiasts, this time in Fish Camp, California, just on the southern edge of the Yosemite National Park. It was a weekend we won’t forget any time soon, as those 912ers really know how to have a good time. The roads were excellent, the views were spectacular, and the camaraderie was second to none.

We Talk "SC/HR" With Magnus Walker

A couple of months ago, we were afforded the opportunity to sit down with Magnus in his LA warehouse shop to discuss his newest project. The SC/HR was a bit of a departure for Magnus, as this car was formed from the base of an ubiquitous G-body 911 SC from 1978. Magnus work on something other than a long-hood car?  Wait until you hear what he told us at the end!

Early Porsches Assemble For April EASY Cars And Coffee

The first Saturday of every month, the "European Auto Salvage Yard" or EASY, plays host to a growing number of Porsche enthusiasts for their "Cars and Coffee" events. Lately they have taken to filling both sides of the street, piling Porsches in nearly on top of one another. It is quite a spectacle to see, and worth a trip to the SF Bay area if you are nearby. After an invite from a 912 enthusiast, we decided to check it out, to see what all the hubbub was about. We were not disappointed.
