Pics from the East Coast Holiday

This past weekend, the 356 Registry held its 2016 East Coast Holiday in nearby Akron, Ohio.  We invited folks up here for lunch and a shop tour on Friday and we attended the festivities in Hudson that night. On Saturday, there was the Concours at the Glenmoor Country Club.  We shot some pictures, talked with a bunch of people and had a great time.

Windshields and Glass

If you've been out driving this summer like we have, you might have picked up a stone chip or two in your windshield.  No worries—we have windshields as well as most other vintage Porsche glass in stock here in Ohio. We package the glass carefully so it'll arrive to you unharmed and ready to install.

 Infinite Calendars From Porsche

One of the younger guys in our office took a look at one of Porsche's beautiful enameled infinitely scrolling calendars and stated that it was probably the silliest thing ever—"Why do they call it a 'Calendar' when you have to remember to turn over the date, day and month?"
He just didn't understand that this gorgeous wall hanging was for people that care about details—and can remember to take care of their office or home just like they care for their Porsche.
We have both the earlier 901 version and this 1987 Turbo in stock now. They are a perfect gift for any Porsche enthusiast.

NLA-561-005-02 Cabriolet Top Frame For 356A T2, 356B, 356C

Limited Availability

While there are many, many parts in our warehouse where we have plenty of stock, there are others that are noted as having limited availability. They're often low volume parts that are handcrafted.
The Cabriolet top frames that we source from Europe are one such part. We get one in at a time and they rarely stay in stock for long.  We happen to have just gotten one, so if  you're restoring a Cab—now's the time to put a top on it!

Fully Restored 356B For Sale

Restoring a 356B can take a lot of time and money—so some might want to consider purchasing a car that's already been restored.  This Slate Gray 1962 356B was restored by PanelWerks here in Ohio. The numbers-matching 1600S engine was rebuilt with big bore pistons and cylinders. The rest of the car was treated equally well with new trim, chrome, interior and rubber throughout.
You can contact Bill Kemper at PanelWerks by calling (440) 666-1974. He is asking $88,000—you would be hard-pressed to purchase and restore a 356 for this little money.
