NorCal Treffen Report

Last weekend we made the trip to Northern California for the ‘best car show you’ve never heard of.'  The show offers a great mix of aircooled Volkswagen and vintage Porsche cars for enthusiasts to peruse, and it is getting bigger with every passing year

SIC-572-SET

SIC-572-SET Gas Heater Exhaust Set

Super Rare: Gas Heater Parts

Everyone knows that it's pretty hard to get decent heat out of an aircooled car—especially in the dead of winter.  So Porsche installed a Webasto gas-powered heater in the front of certain cars. For the 911 and 912, that's what that "Smuggler's Box" was originally intended for.  Of course, cold weather usually goes hand in hand with damp, salty roads and lots of corrosion—meaning that gas heater parts are impossible to find these days for early 911 912 restorations.
We've got a new selection of very authentic gas heater parts fresh from Europe, including full exhaust systems that are extremely accurate recreations of the originals, including the correct metric-sized tubing and hardware.   If you're restoring an early car with the gas heater, make sure you've got all the right parts to go along with it!

Carrera RS Parts In Stock

We supply parts to the best restoration shops that specialize in the iconic 1973 Carrera RS 2.7—but you don't have to own one of these mega-dollar 911s to get some of the really nifty RS-specific parts. We've got the lightweight gas tanks, proper quarter panels and flared rear bumpers, as well as even more esoteric stuff like the specialized oil tank fittings.

Late 356 Bumper Special

The 356B and 356C bumpers are a lot more complicated than the earlier version—instead of a simple stamping, it is a series of stamped parts that are spot-welded together.  This makes the bumper considerably stronger for protecting against minor impacts, but it also makes it just about impossible to repair once pranged.
Of course, we have recreated the late 356 bumper exactly and are now offering them at a substantial discount for a limited-time sale. Now until September 30, 2016 you can buy the pair of front and rear bumpers for just $995.

We Can Save Them All:
Still Making Progress!

Trevor Gates, the winner of our "We Can Save Them All" contest, is making some progress on his rusted and busted 356A. He's got the doors just about done and he's working on recreating the engine compartment sheetmetal.  It's a slow road—but we're happy to see forward momentum on this gargantuan project.
