Tour of Stoddard - 2016

Let's take a look at how your Porsche parts get on their way to you, from the online or phone order process all the way through until they leave our warehouse via the parcel truck.

While we've had a mild winter here in Ohio, today happens to be a bit cold and snowy here in Highland Heights, Ohio.  Our facility is at 190 Alpha Park Drive.

When you walk in the front door, you can see our sales office, where our team of trained Porsche experts are manning the phones.   You can see Pete Yanda, our sales manager, in his "prairie dog" pose.

Another angle of the main office floor.  In the foreground, James Mowry is consulting by email with a customer on restoration needs for his 356A.

Bruce Schwartz, the owner of Stoddard NLA, is manning the phones, talking with one of our wholesale customers.

Mark Taylor, Stoddard's New Product Development Manager, is evaluating samples of our latest offering: a precision bent brake line kit for the early 911.

Our Purchasing Department is discussing the latest shipment from one of our vendors.   Thomas Benham (standing) and John Hinkle manage all of our different sources for parts.

As we walk out of the main office area, you can see our collection of cars that we use for test fitting new parts.  Yes, we exercise these horses regularly.

We have the original sign from the Stoddard Imported Cars dealership mounted at the entrance to our warehouse area. Our 24,000 square foot warehouse has over 3.5 million dollars in inventory,  a fact that no company aside from Porsche itself can match.

Kevin McSween is one-man receiving department.  He checks in shipments from around the world and makes sure they get correctly tagged and put in the proper place in our large warehouse.  Well, it  sure looked large until we stuffed so many Porsche parts in it!

Mark Jelenic is our Warehouse Manager.  He insures that the parts are organized and the orders are picked and shipped by his staff.

A look down the main aisle.  Many of our smaller parts are on the shelves to the left, while larger parts are to the right.

A tighter shot of that same aisle shows the scale.  Joe Gorka, on the right, is over 6 feet tall--our shelves are nearly double that height.

Turning around, you can see the view back towards the larger parts section. That's where the fenders, windshields and exhaust systems are.

Our bulk section is where we put the really big exclusive stuff which take up a lot of room , like gas tanks and bumpers.   For scale, the black objects in the lower right are 356B and 356C bumpers.

Joe Gorka, Werner Minaschek and Mark Jelenic are picking parts for orders that came in last night.

Rocker decos take up a lot of space, as do 356 tail sections (to the right)

Meanwhile, Steve Kozel and Tom Heckaman  are making sure that each outgoing order is packed carefully.  We ship worldwide every single business day.

It's morning, so our shipping dock has just started to fill up with packages. We'll take a picture in a few hours that shows how many parcels leave each and every day.

And here we are a few hours later and there's about 100 more packages stacked up--big and small.

In a back corner of the warehouse,  Gene Divney is assembling our exclusive hardware kits.  These nuts, bolts and fasteners help restorers with exactly the right part to put your vintage Porsche back together.

Finally, a portion of our warehouse is used for storing original parts (which we call ORI) that we use to pattern our new versions off of.  These parts have been in our collection since we started making parts in the 1960s and new 'finds' are added each day.
