Stoddard Customer Wins Amelia Award at Amelia Island Concours!

We love customer emails like this one from Dave DiMaria at Vintage Car Works, "I just got back from Amelia. We had a great event and won the Amelia Award for our class—finishing second in Sports Cars from 1955 to 1959.

356 Fuse Box Label

We recently reworked our 356 and 356A fuse box label using a good original as a sample. The text was properly laid out, complete with the original typographical errors.  We had them offset printed on off-white cardstock to perfectly match the Factory part.
The image to the right is zoomed in so you can see the quality of the typeset and printing. Just add some greasy fingerprints and a few waterstains and you won't be able to tell the difference between ours and your original.

NLA-108-106-02 Air Cleaner Bolt Set 6mm x 95mm 10-piece set.

Solex Air Cleaner Bolt Kit

The air cleaners that sit on top of the Solex 40PII were attached with an oddly-sized bolt, some 95mm long.  We have sets of NOS Kamax and Karro bolts that are affordably priced for the package of 10.
Sure, not everyone is going to notice they have the correct markings on their heads, but you will—and so will concours judges.

Porsche Factory Lightweight Specials...
Every enthusiast knows that weight is the enemy of performance, but the Porsche Factory has always taken this to an extreme. They specify decals in place of the Porsche hood crest on the lightweight race cars, including the 996 GT3 Cup Cars. We have both the standard issue metal crest and the lightweight decal in stock. And yes, we weighed them both. The normal crest tips the scales at 44 grams, while the decal is just over 4 grams.

SIC-628-KIT Wiper Linkage Repair Kit Fits 911/912 1965-68

See Clearly:  Wiper Repair Kit

One of Stoddard's specialties has always been our repair and hardware kits. The packages take the guesswork out of finding all the right fasteners, washers, bushings and clips that you'll need during a restoration process.
We've just come up with a repair kit for the 911 and 912 wiper mechanism used on the 1965-1968 cars. It includes all the proper parts to do the job correctly. These are not universal pieces, but a correctly engineered solution including machined bronze and delrin bushings to put your wiper mechanism back to work.

Get A New Late 356 Gas Tank.
The price tag for properly flushing out a gas tank that's been sitting has gone up considerably—we recently got an estimate that was several hundred bucks, before any repairs were done. We're all for keeping things original, but sometimes it makes more sense to replace that crusty tank with a brand new one.
Our late 356 (356B T6 and 356C) gas tanks have all the correct stamped impressions, welds and brackets as the originals. Each tank is pressure tested before it is treated to a coat of correctly-hued grey paint.

930-111-038-06 Muffler for 930 Turbo

Warehouse Artifact: Factory 930 Exhaust

Turbo engines are a real hoot and become even more so with some judicious modifications.  Of course, that ease of performance has left very few 930s in completely stock trim. If you're putting a nice 930 Turbo back to Factory stock, we've got a find for you—an original NOS muffler for the 3.3-liter Turbo used from 1983-1989.

These Cars Are Terrible!
Some really awful entries are rolling into our "We Can Save Them All" contest and we're tickled pink!  You can check out the posts tagged with "WCSTA" on the 356 Registry's Project Car Forum for the latest.
Remember, Stoddard is giving away $7500 to the person who is restoring the worst one!  You can find out more and read the rules by clicking on the "Learn More" button.
