Klasse356 Enters Contest Along With Ten Other Crazy 356 Owners.
Ed Rutherford from Klasse356 in Torrance, California has announced their entry into our "We Can Save Them All" contest. You can see pictures of his find, as well as other entries on the 356 Registry's forum. We'll be picking the top three cars at the end of April, so get your entry posted soon!
356 and 911 Headlight Seals
In comparison to modern cars, which utilize more complex molding and engineering designs, a vintage Porsche (or any classic car for that matter) uses a much larger number of parts to create the same sub-assembly. Take the headlight, for example. Instead of intricate plastic moldings, there are glass lenses with rubber seals to hold them in the housings correctly. We've reworked our headlight lense to frame seal with a softer rubber and more correct profile that allows for easier assembly and longer life.
911s and 912s made between 1969 and 1973 had plates that slide into the dash at the radio location. They were covered with upholstery that matched the rest of the interior. Of course, most have these have been lost as folks upgraded their radios to more modern DIN-style stereos.
Fan Shroud Bolts
Here's another picky little detail that we've got covered for your top-notch 356. You know those 6mm x 80mm bolts that are used to attach the oil filter housing and coil bracket to the fan shroud? We've got pairs of the original Kamax marked bolts in the original cadmium plating for sale. These are NOS from the way-back of our warehouse.
Our newest batch of upper and lower seat rails are now back in stock and if you've ordered them recently, they'll be heading out to you shortly. Our latest version has been completely reworked with the correct profiles, heights and plating to make this the most authentic seat track for your early 356.
Slate Grey Beauty
The Barret Jackson Auction Company has a beautiful 1963 356B coming up for sale on April 17-19th in Palm Beach, Florida. The numbers matching Slate Grey car was restored by TJ Auto in Raleigh, North Carolina and typical of their work, it is stunning.
Spring is here, and you know what that means—a new litter of cute little baby Porsches will be making their entry into the world. We've got a great collection of Spark and True Scale Miniatures 1:43 scale models for sale in the "Boutique" area of our website.
356 and 912 Oil Cooler
The lifeblood of an aircooled engine is the oil, which, in addition to its lubrication, also helps cool the internals from the heat of combustion and friction. We have high efficiency oil cooler kits, complete with seals and new studs that will keep your 356 or 912 nice and happy, even during the Summer months. The modern cooling core has 20 percent more surface area than your original cooler.
