The StoddardWe Can Save Them All contest has entered its next phase. Out of the 34 entrants, we narrowed it down to 12 semi-finalists that are being voted on now by the 356 Registry. On May 22, the top four from this group will enter a final showdown to see who wins our $7500 grand prize!
Early 911 912 Taillights The first 911 and 912s had taillight assemblies without replaceable lenses—the entire housing and lens were glued together to seal out moisture. These are nearly impossible to restore correctly. We've are now stocking replacements that look very original when installed in the the car, with modern bulb housings and wiring that are only visible when out of the car.
Restoring cast metal bits, like the early horn ring, isn't as easy as it sounds. Thankfully, we now have a new replacement that's an exact recreation. You don't have to worry about sanding and filling the pits, repairing cracks or the exact shade of beige paint that you need. Ours is ready to bolt right on.
Great Brakes—Great Prices
We have brake pads that we co-developed with Hawk that are miles ahead of the typical aftermarket brake pad. The Stoddard / Hawk pads are available in two different compounds: An OE-quality Ceramic with low dusting and great stopping power, as well as a High Performance compound suitable for street, autocross and track duty.
Teardrop Taillights Our teardrop taillights are our exclusive offering, designed to be accurate replacements of the original. We've made sure all the details are there, ncluding the lettering on the lens casting and the stamping on the chrome bezel. Each tail light is comprised of many specialized moldings and stampings. That inner reflector piece, for example, is made out of 17 individual components. With that kind of accuracy and complexity, it makes more sense to buy new from the source at $76.50 rather than restore yours.
Just the Stud You Need.
The original length wheel studs for a 356 with drum brakes are actually quite hard to find. We had a batch made that are the correct 36mm length that exactly match your originals. The high-grade studs measure 14x1.5mm with the correct diameter knurling—they are also treated with a black oxide coating.
Koni Shock absorbers were a factory option on nearly every early Porsche—offering better handling and the ability to adjust rebound damping for different track and surface conditions. Stoddard has one of the largest supplies of Konis for Porsches in the world and now for a limited time, all Koni shocks are on sale! Prices are marked down 25-percent off of retail. The Koni sale ends August 31, 2015. Please note, the 25-percent discount is off retail prices only and our online prices reflect this discount.
Gloriously Grey
We got a nice note from Dave Di Maria at Vintage Car Works about a recent project his shop completed. It's a 1966 911 with a great combination of Slate Grey paint with a red leather interior. Apparently it's doing really well at concours events. You can see more pictures on our website.
We found some really nice shop signs in Europe that would be a great addition to your shop or garage wall. The heavy steel sign is coated in a thick coat of enamel, with extra crisp lettering. It's a nice piece that would look great anywhere enthusiasts hang out. The signs measure 400mm wide x 590mm tall.
