The standardization of bolt sizes and threads isn't quite as old as you might think. It wasn't until 1947 that standard metric sizing was created by the new ISO (International Standards Organization). The specs changed somewhat in the 1960s as 8mm bolts changed from having 14mm hex heads to 13mm. These older bolts and nuts with the larger hex are hard—if not impossible—to find. We've got a stock of a variety of 8mm bolts and nuts that will help you properly restore your 356. They're made in Germany and have a black oxide finish.
We recently redid our entire stock of 356 sun visors. These sun visors are authentic replacements for T-2/T-5 coupes, T-2 thru 356C Cabriolets and all Roadsters. They feature the correct texture/color vinyl with precise heat sealing around the perimeter. Correct tensioning screws and trim are installed. Strong highly polished stainless steel pivots are included (2-hole or 1-hole as needed).
Affordable Glovebox Straps
If your 911 or 912 project has a missing glovebox (the fiberboard quickly deteriorates if it gets wet) it most likely also has a missing steel strap. These have been Factory-only for years, at a considerable cost, making the replacement of a simple thing like a glovebox a very pricey proposition. We are now stocking replacement glovebox attaching straps for the 911 and 912. These are German-made and are exact duplicates of the originals at a considerable savings.
You've got the cool vintage fog or driving lamps, but you're also going to need a period-correct accessory switch to turn them on. We've got a switch that's a close copy of the original style and it comes in three different color versions--there's a yellow, blue or red version that'll help you know which accessory you are turning on. You'll also need bulbs—we stock both 6 volt and 12 volt bulbs for these switches.
Brand New Early Solex Carb Linkages
There's a good reason that modern car companies have gone to "throttle by wire" which use sensors, computers and small electric motors to open throttle valves. The result is more predictable, reliable and efficient throttle movements. Your original steel linkage mechanisms suffer from wear and fatigue and after 60 years, they're probably past the point of repair. We have new linkages for the Solex carbs used on early 356s through the A models.

We saw this very nice 911 for sale on Carparc USA's website, a matching numbers 1968 'S' with just 37k original miles. The car has had one repaint in the original Tangerine (6809) color and is said to be perfectly maintained. Looks like a great and unusual early 911S that's ready to be enjoyed.
