Live from the 2015 Lit Meet

  We are here at the 32nd annual Porsche and Volkswagen Literature and Memorabilia Swap Meet at the Los Angeles Airport Hilton Hotel and our tables, like many, are mobbed with customers.
     In true California fashion, we saw a little bit of everything so far this trip, from hot rods to new parts for old Porsches—we were more geeked about the latter. We had our guys on scene and have posted a bunch of images from the event on our website.

New in 2015: Incoming Parts from Stoddard!

    We've been hard at work sourcing new partsfor your old Porsche. We use the LA weekend shows as a great launchpad for these offerings. This email has a taste of what new things we have in store for 2015.
    The parts we have in this email are mostly specific to the early 356. However, not to worry, we've got a great new selection of parts for the 911 and 914 incoming.
    Please keep in mind that these parts aren't available for sale yet, but we expect them within the next 6 weeks.

Carparc USA in Costa Mesa	Pics: Shop Crawl 2015 One of our favorite parts of the Lit Meet weekend is what we call the Shop Crawl. Many of the Porsche-centric businesses and restoration shops in the Los Angeles area open their doors to visitors to show off their wares. Our guys saw a lot of cool stuff along the way. New Drum Brake Wheels

    We haven't rested on the success of our disc brake wheels!  We will soon also have a completely new Drum brake wheel for the 356.
    The wheels are produced by us here in the United States and like our Disc brake wheels, they will be DOT tested and available in either an as-original silver finish or high-quality chrome plating. We will have 15x4.5-inch and 15x5.5-inch sizing for the Drum brake wheel.

We Can Save Them All!

Stoddard NLA wants to help save the worst 356 this year by giving away $5000 worth of free sheetmetal and $2500 in other parts for one lucky car (and owner!) Inspired by the recent barn-, field- and yes, even lake finds, Stoddard wants to help restore the most challenging 356 project, as chosen by the members of the 356 Registry.

New Drum Brake Shoes Another great new product we'll be releasing soon are brand new brake shoes for the earlier 356. These are a new production part, from new steel stock so no core charge will be required. Each shoe's backing plate is precisely laser cut and TIG-wlded before it's backed with friction material. The drum brake shoe set will be sold in axle sets of four shoes.

New Early 356 Seat Tracks

We are reworking the early 356 upper and lower seat rails to have a shorter profile, more like the original design. Sure, it was only a fraction of an inch, but every little bit matters when it comes to making your vintage Porsche perfect.
The new rail stampings and component parts were then treated to the proper plating: Nickel (main rails), Cadmium (rivets and washers) or Chrome (adjusting lever) as original.

Wiper Rebuild Kits

One product was so new that we didn't even get a chance to put it out on our display boxes. That said, there are so many small pieces in the bag that it comes in, maybe that was for the best.
The new wiper rebuild kit for the 911 and 912 comes with new Delrin and bronze oilite bushings as well as all the rubber bushings needed. The kit includes all the clips and specialty washers to make your wiper mechanism good as new.

The Toy and Lit Meet starts Friday, June 5th at 6pm, while the All-Porsche Swap Meet and Car Show starts Saturday June 6th at 8am.
