A Visit With Our Contest Winner

While we were in California for the Dana Point Concours, we stopped by Trevor Gates' house to check out his 356A Project.  He was the winner of our "We Can Save Them All" contest with his car—a 1957 that was chopped in three pieces to remove it from a property in California.  While the car is now in one piece, its still needs a ton of work to bring it back from the dead—and our sheetmetail will go along way towards that goal.

Trevor is restoring his 356 in a one-car garage but he's got it well sorted and a really cool rotisserie.

The floors have been cut out, but at least the unibody is in one piece.

The rotisserie allows Trevor to rotate the car to make welding easier.

Even the inner panels of the quarter panels need some patches.

Our floor pans will look good here.

Bruce marvelling at all of the work that needs to be done.

As we were leaving, Trevor was unpacking the first shipment from Stoddard.  He's starting with the basics: floor pans and bumpers.
