Porsche Cayenne 955 parts from 2003 to 2006

About the Porsche Cayenne 955 (2003–2006)

The Porsche Cayenne 955, launched in 2003 and produced through the 2006 model year, was the vehicle that fundamentally changed Porsche’s commercial fortunes and proved that a luxury performance SUV could be developed without compromising the engineering values that define the marque. Jointly developed with Volkswagen and sharing its platform with the Volkswagen Touareg and Audi Q7, the Cayenne 955 brought genuine Porsche character to a body-on-frame-equivalent SUV through its all-wheel-drive system, optional air suspension, and the exceptional tuning of its brakes and steering. Three engine variants defined the range: the base 3.2-litre V6 producing 250 PS, the 4.5-litre V8 Cayenne S with 340 PS, and the formidable 4.5-litre twin-turbocharged V8 Cayenne Turbo producing 450 PS and 0–60 mph in 5.6 seconds from an SUV weighing over two tonnes. The V8 engine in all 955 variants uses a chain-driven DOHC layout with four valves per cylinder, Bosch Motronic ME7.1 management and a rear-mounted chain-driven ARS active rear steering system on Turbo cars.

The cooling system is the most critical maintenance area on the 955 V8. The engine’s design routes coolant through multiple components and the system is sensitive to air locks and thermostat condition. Stoddard stocks the radiator assembly, coolant expansion tank and cap, primary thermostat and housing, auxiliary thermostat, upper and lower coolant hoses, coolant temperature sensors, water pump and electric auxiliary coolant pump. Engine rebuild parts for the V8 include the timing chain kit (primary and secondary chains, tensioners and guides), piston and ring sets, connecting rod bearings, main bearing set, cylinder head gaskets (per bank), head bolt sets, valve cover gaskets, hydraulic lifter sets, valve stem seals, camshaft oil seals and the complete V8 engine gasket set. The Bosch Motronic fuel system is supported with the mass-airflow sensors, fuel injectors and seal kits, fuel pressure regulator, high-pressure fuel pump, fuel filter, throttle bodies, knock sensors, oxygen sensors and ECU. For the Turbo, twin KKK turbochargers, intercoolers, wastegate actuators, turbo oil feed and return lines and boost control solenoids are all in stock.

The Porsche Traction Management (PTM) all-wheel-drive system and Tiptronic six-speed automatic transmission are both supported. We carry the Tiptronic transmission fluid filter and pan gasket kit, transmission solenoid seals, torque converter seals, front differential seals, transfer case seals and gaskets, rear differential fluid seals and prop shaft flex couplings. The optional Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) air suspension is supported with air spring bladders (front and rear), air compressor and dryer, air distribution valve block and air line sets. For conventional coil-spring cars we supply front and rear coil springs, shock absorbers and control arm bushings. Steering: power steering pump, steering rack seals, tie-rod ends and boots and steering column joints. Brakes: Brembo front caliper rebuild kits (six-piston on Turbo), rear caliper rebuild kits, front and rear vented rotors, brake pads, ABS wheel speed sensors, tandem master cylinder, brake booster and flexible brake hoses. Body, glass and interior parts are all available. Select your year above to open the Cayenne 955 catalog.
