The mid-engined roadster
The Porsche Boxster brought back the mid-engined Porsche roadster in 1997, with a water-cooled flat-six behind the seats and a power-operated soft top. The 986 was followed in 2005 by the 987, with a new interior and more powerful engines, then direct injection and the PDK gearbox from 2009.
