The modernised air-cooled 911
The Porsche 964 kept the silhouette of the classic 911 but was largely new underneath: a 3.6 litre air-cooled flat-six with twin-plug ignition, coil springs in place of torsion bars, ABS and power steering as standard, the Carrera 4 four-wheel drive and the Tiptronic gearbox option, behind integrated bumpers and an automatic rear spoiler.
