Two generations of 911
The Porsche 997 returned to oval headlights and a more classic 911 look in 2005. The first generation (2005–2008) used developments of the 996 engines; the second (2009–2012) introduced direct-injection engines without an intermediate shaft and the PDK double-clutch gearbox, with revised lights. The 997 GT3 and 997 Turbo complete the range.
