Built from 1994 to 1998, the Porsche 993 brought a smoother body, a multi-link rear suspension, a six-speed gearbox and a 3.6 litre flat-six that gained the Varioram induction system from 1996. The 993 Turbo added twin turbochargers and four-wheel drive, and the Targa a sliding glass roof. As the end of the air-cooled era, the 993 is now a prized classic.
