We've been getting updates from Trevor Gates, the winner of our We Can Save Them All contest. While the prize will certainly help Trevor get his 356A back on the road, he's still got a long way to go to get there.
New for 2015, the Porsche Classic Car Care Set includes 17 products including wax, cleaners, auto shampoo, cleaning clay and a non-acidic wheel cleaner. A selection of towels, sponges and specialized brushes help apply the tailor-made cleaning products and they all come in a Pepita cloth and leather carrying bag.
Early 911 and 912 Rubber Mat Sets
We are running a special on our early 911 and 912 rubber floor mat sets. For a limited time, we are including the rear mats at no charge! The molded rubber mats were used from 1965 through 1968 and you can use them in later cars for a period-correct Factory sports purpose look. The mats are long wearing and are a great choice for a Porsche that is driven regularly.
Sure, you could probably use a hammer and chisel to knock loose the lower balljoint on a 911, 912 or 914, but you'll wind up scratching the heck out of the control arm and possibly destroy the threads on the balljoint. The Factory recommends their 280B special tool, which attaches to a normal 1/2-inch breaker bar or impact wrench.
15 x 4.5-inch Drum Brake Wheels
The standard sized wheel for the earlier 356s, the 15x4.5 was used from the first 356A in 1955 through the 356B production run ending in 1963. That means that the newest drum wheels out there are pushing more than 50 years of use. That's a lot of potholes and road hazards. Give them a break! We've recreated the original style wheel here in the United States with all new materials. Our modern production standards and show-quality chrome finish mean that you will enjoy these wheels for years. Don't trust your prized Porsche with wheels that are old enough to retire.
Our exclusive interior light has a corrosion-proof stainless bezel and fits the 356C, 1965-1978 911 Coupe, and 911 Targa 1967-1968. It is a snap-in replacement for the original.
Oil and fuel filler caps are often overlooked during a restoration. They're an inexpensive way to spruce up your driving (and fill-up) experience with fresh plating and new seals for a fume-free cockpit.
