"My friends all drive Porsches..."

We were recently asked to evaluate Janis Joplin's Porsche 356SC Cabriolet and we took some detail shots of the most famous 356 in existence. RM Sotheby's will be selling the car on December 10th as a part of its "Driven to Disruption" promotion.
You can see our never-before-seen pictures of the car on our website.

IMG_2151According to the Chassis and Engine Numbers, the car is actually an 1964 SC, not a 1965 356C as reported.  Interesting!

T80-800-MAN Manometer Fuel Tuning Device

"Watch Out Boys...She's a Man o Meter...."

During the 1950's, 60's and 70's, Porsche required each of their Dealer Service Departments to have this tool for tuning carburetor and mechanical fuel injection engines. Porsche realized that this was the only tool which would produce the accuracy required to calibrate air volume with adjustable throttle plates and have the sensitivity to calibrate air bypass screws for non-adjustable throttle plates. If each cylinder doesn't have exactly the same air intake volume, the horsepower produced by each cylinder will vary, causing the loss of power and shortened engine life. This is the only tool that is 100% accurate, and works with all types of Porsche, PMO, and side-draft/up-draft carburetors as well as MFI throttle bodies.

Early 911 and 912 Knobs With Correct Finish!

We have recreated the original 911 and 912 dashboard knobs in the correct satin finish (unlike some reproductions on the market now, which are glossy and inappropriate for a concours car) and they are available as individual parts so you can pick and choose the exact knob you need.  We have the ones with light pins (pictured) as well as those for headlights, cigarette lighter and front trunk pulls.

356 Buyers Guide in Classic Motorsports

"If you’ve dreamed about owning a Porsche 356, the time to act is now: Prices have been increasing, especially for the open cars. The original Speedster, intended to be a low-cost, no-frills model, can now trade for more than $300,000..."

Washer Bags With Improved Details

Concours points can be gained or lost for the smallest details and we get that. So when we went to improve our replacement washer bags for the 356A and 356B T5 cars, we not only made sure the shape was correct, we got the vinyl color, finish and texture just right. The bags are a matte finish with small pinpoint embossing that are next to impossible to tell from the originals.

Cars and Parts 031

For Sale: Clean Cab

We came across a really nice looking 1988 911 Carrera Cabriolet, which has the 3.2 engine with the later G50 transmission. According to the owner, it's a very original car, Silver with dark blue top and leather interior. Fully optioned, the car was just serviced, and comes with all tools, manuals and boot. It has only 48,700 miles. The price for this concours condition cab is $51,000.
You can contact the owner at jentexinc@aol.com or (973) 492-6244.

Targa Door Seals

Thanks to its top and frameless window, the Targa-specific door seal is a shorter section that just covers the bottom "U" of the door opening. While most available seals are the later bulb style, we have just released a much more authentic version that is a solid, yet soft and pliable rubber extrusion. They are sold in sets of two.

H4 Conversion Headlights

Just because you want to keep your original sealed beam style headlight housings doesn't mean you are stuck with inferior sealed beam lights! We have 7-inch H4 headlights that are a drop-in replacement for your outdated US-spec lights. They're great for 356 911 912, or just about anything with a 7-inch round headlight will benefit from vastly improved lighting and bulb wattage selection.

Door Pockets for 1974-1989 911s

People make a big deal about the door pockets on an early  911 or 912, but a good set of door pockets for the later shorthood 911s are also getting hard to find. We have new formed plastic door pockets that are ready to cover with your carpet. They are precision moled and will never disintegrate like the cardboard originals.
