We love a good project car blog—and Darryl's Deppe's blog is a great one.
You can check out Darryl's extensive restoration of his 912 here: Darryl's Blog
In Darryl's words, "Here's my own little opus, the 1966 912 originally purchased by a young Al Caldwell, the PCA technical guru, here in Seattle. 5 owners later and 40 years of exposure to our climate's tendency to pool water in the bottom of body cavities, I brought it back among the living thanks to many, many orders to Stoddard.com and a tendency towards OCD. Once finished, a picture showing the old sheetmetal laying behind the car tells a pretty graphic story of removing every trace of rust in the body and many miles of MIG wire and tanks of argon/nitrogen mix knitting together reproduction and hand-fabricated panels."
