For the longest life, strength, and quiet operation, Hoer Technologies ring and pinions are the best and were Porsche factory equipment. These gear sets are made using the exclusive German Kilingelnberg Palloid equipment, which produces a patented gear form. Other less expensive gear sets are made using the inferior Gleason design.

Note: The ring gear is drilled for 12 bolts. If used in an earlier transmission, only six bolts can be used.
