After countless thousands of miles, the steering box in your 356 is probably showing some wear. Even after adjusting you may find the center "hard spot" with a binding or course feel. That's because the steering peg has worn through the surface hardening and is starting to wear the worm gear.
We've recently contracted to have the peg manufactured; and now have them in our inventory.
