We have seen far too many early 911s with heat-baked paint on the rear center panel where the license plate mounts. Simply put, a hot exhaust and fresh paint do not mix!
We came up with this high-tech solution using a local manufacturer of thermal and heat solutions. The adhesive-backed insulation piece is easy to install and impossible to see once installed—but you won't bake your plate ever again!
We sourced adhesive high-tech insulation panels (used on modern OE fitments, like Ford, BMW and Porsche) and had it cut to fit inside the center panel on all 1965-1973 911 or 912 cars. Easy to install and it's completely hidden from view so you won't raise any eyebrows on the show field.
