7DT45 Shift Fork Position Sensor Unit for Porsche PDK Gearbox

Repair your Porsche PDK transmission (7DT45 or 7DT70) rather than replacing the entire unit. Failures of the distance/gear position sensor are commonly identified by fault codes 1731–1735 and other related 17xx errors. In the past, these faults typically meant replacing the complete PDK transmission at significant cost. This replacement sensor now makes it possible to address the issue by changing only the failed component.

This is a brand-new aftermarket replacement sensor (not manufactured by ZF and not offered by Porsche), built with updated electronics and technology (2021 design vs. the original 2007 version). It replaces Porsche part numbers 0501325775, 0501327105, and 0501324703, and is compatible with Porsche 911, Cayman, and Boxster models from 2009 onward, including 997, 991, 981, and 718 platforms.

Installation must be performed by a qualified professional shop. This sensor is not sold for DIY use, as replacing the PDK distance/position sensor is a highly complex procedure and Porsche does not provide an official factory repair manual for this operation. PIWIS diagnostic records (VAL files), including the vehicle VIN and installation details, are required and must be submitted to satisfy manufacturer and warranty requirements. Please note that the factory service literature does not include PDK disassembly or reassembly instructions. Existing wiring, connectors, and speed sensors must be retained and reused, requiring soldering during installation.
