We love customer emails like this one from Dave DiMaria at Vintage Car Works: “I just got back from Amelia. We had a great event and won the Amelia Award for our class, finishing second in sports cars from 1955 to 1959. I am pretty sure that we were the only Porsche in our class, which included Maseratis, Lancias and one-off coachbuilt Fiats, etc.”
“The car is a 1959 356A Carrera GS Cabriolet, which was highly optioned from the factory. We performed a complete restoration on the car. The body and floor pan were metal finished, and the car was painted in single-stage acrylic urethane with a little bit of orange peel left in the final finish, in order to achieve a period-correct look for the car.”
