2013 Stoddard Swap Meet—Success!

26th Annual Stoddard Swap Meet

Every year, we host a Swap Meet and Concours at our facility here in Ohio.  It's a chance to meet up with our customers and friends, show off cool parts and see a bucketload of cool cars.  We line up the Porsches in the parking lot around our shop and by mid-morning, it's a sea of sheetmetal from Stuttgart.

We filled the entire area behind our facility with over 80 vendors, showing off new and used parts, services and even a few cars for sale.  The engine in this red 356 was listed being available—as were the pile of interesting 930 parts in the foreground.  That's what makes the show neat—you just never know what you'll find scattered around.

The event kicks off with a Literature and Toy Meet that's held inside our showroom area.  If you wanted shirts, toys or owner's manuals, this was the place to be.

Car Show:

We had a record turnout in the show area as well this year, with folks coming from all over Ohio and surrounding states to show off their Porsches. Keith Inniss brought his 930 Turbo Targa, an unsual combination of options and a stunning Venetian Blue finish makes this car one of our perennial favorites at events.  He placed second in the People's Choice show.

Eric Shea of PMB Performance brought his beautiful 914-6 all the way from Sandy, Utah for the event.  He was rewarded for his efforts with the first place prize in the People's Choice concours.  What a stunning car!

Parts and Parts Cars:

The Stoddard Swap Meet has come to be a yearly thing for many enthusiasts and businesses interested in Porsches.  Adam Wright from Unobtanium Inc., purchased this 1959 Cabriolet that was a one-owner, original paint car that still ran.  Sure, it was rough and ran even rougher, but the story of how it was pulled out of a barn in rural Pennsylvania was worth it.  We hope to see this car restored to its former glory soon.

Porsches are meant to be driven.  This 1973 911T is a nice, original car that made the trek from the Pittsburg, PA. area.  The owner drives the car regularly and it was one of our favorite cars at the show.  The Viper Green paint was said to be almost all original—wonderful!

We posted over 100 other images from the event on our Facebook page.  Check them out!
