Finally Starting to See in Color

This past weekend, we finally got to put down a few coats of Sepia Brown (Color Code 415) paint on our 911 Project.

We first laid down some Wurth Schutz on the inside of the front trunk lid and the gas tank support area.  We used Wurth's spray gun to lay down the right amount of texture.

Next we masked off the front of the car and just shot the interior of the trunk and the fender mounting flange—as well as the fenderwell itself.

Spaying Sepia

Our small pieces were hung by hangers on a fixture to allow them to dry without damage.

Next, we sprayed the inside of the rear decklid.  Spraying these parts and allowing them to cure before we spray the outside will make it a little easier on us space-wise in the small booth.

The underside of the trunk lid looks great with the paint on top of the Schutz.

Note: We apologize for the graininess of the photos,  we were shooting inside the booth while we were spraying, so it was quite hazy.
