Normally, unbolting a pedal box from the floor pan involves four small nuts and bolts and disconnecting the master cylinder from the bulkhead. While we did have to fiddle with the master cylinder to disconnect the lines, the area around the pedal box was so rusted that we simply pulled the cluster out with our bare hands. Clearly, we've got a bit of welding in our future.
We had to sacrifice the accelerator linkage and clutch cable, as they were hopelessly rusted solid to the cluster.
The cluster itself, along with the gas pedal and master cylinder are essentially junk. We might be able to scavent off a few fittings, but it's unlikely anything else is worth messing with.
