Hump Panels—Moving Quickly

If there ever was a bellweather for the 911 restoration business, the hump panel is it. Thanks to rising car values, we are seeing a huge increase in people needing this rather esoteric piece of sheetmetal—to fix rust most often caused by severe salt exposure or a leaking windshield seal on cars previously thought of as "unrestoreable."  Folks, everything is restorable!

We developed the Front Crossmember Repair Panel (or "hump" panel) a few years ago as an alternative to the full 911 and 912 floor pan replacement that Porsche discontinued. The panel fits between our front suspension pan and our floor pans to cover the entire underside of the Porsche 911 or 912.

The hump panel is made by our sheetmetal fabricators out of Galvanneal, a galvanized steel that is highly corrosion resistant, yet still welds easily.  The panel includes all necessary brackets and even has the correctly placed holes for the fuel and brake lines that pass through the car's center tunnel.

The hump panel can  also be purchased as  a part of our Complete Floor Pan Kit, which includes the hump panel, our front suspension pan and the floor pans.
