Back to Bare

We're still chipping (well, grinding) away at our 911 to get it back to the original paint surface where we can.  Portions of the car are back to bare steel—this was where there were signs of previous bodywork. We found quite a few layers of paint on the front fenders, including a mixture of enamels and lacquers.  We're also taking care to remove all previous filler so we can start fresh on the repaint.

You can see where there was a small metal patch welded into the driver's side front fender.  This was the only exterior metal work that we can see—other than few dings elsewhere.

The filler in the rear quarter was minimal—it looks like it was just filling up a parking lot ding.  No problem!
