What started out as a cursory inspection of the front suspension pan and fuel tank support has quickly lead us down the path of rust repair and rocker panel replacement on our 1969 911S.
After we fixed the front suspension pan, we decided to look and see what was under the front fenders.
We found a bit of rust near the fuel filler area on the driver's side.
Once that was fixed, we poked at a few bubbles in the rocker panel. We knew what we'd find—we have been down this road before.
We pulled off the rocker panels and fixed the "Kidney bowls" that support the outer rocker panels.
We are now fitting the new door jams into this area.
Meanwhile, the rest of the car is tagged and awaiting reassembly.
