We certainly have a soft spot in our hearts (and heads) for the Porsche 912. The combination of the 356-sourced engine and the 911 chassis make it neither here nor there, but something unique in it's own right. The 912 Registry's Rendezvou events celebrate the car and are a great way to meet likeminded enthusiasts.
The original reflectors on the back of a 356B or 356C were made using a glass lens and while our plastic lenses are excellent recreations at an affordable price, we decided that it was time to start from scratch and make them using real glass. It's a subtle difference, and not inexpensive, but we're sure these will find their way onto top-notch restorations.
New Factory Brake Drums
While there are good options for remanufacturing used brake drums, sometimes only new will do. Porsche has brought back their new brake drum program using the original supplier in Austria, Fuchs. They are surprisingly reasonable compared to reworking what you have. Both early and late drums are available.
The Factory's latest Classic Parts catalog transcends the term catalog. We'd call it an excellent addition to your book collection and we wouldn't be surprised to see them displayed on an enthusiast's coffee table. The catalog features their new parts, as well as editorials, history lessons and tech tips.
Teener Door Handle Sets
While the 914 has plenty of strengths and good points, the original door handles were not the best in terms of longevity. We are now offering a set of very nice new versions that are a cost effective replacement—considerably less than the Factory versions.
With the prices of concours correct early 911s still holding strong, we have been on the lookout for all of the hard to find pieces that make these cars unique—and hard to restore correctly. *We now stock air cleaner boxes, velocity stacks and linkage parts for the Solex PI-1 carburetors.
