The 356 Club of Southern California moved their annual "World's largest 356-only fully-judged concours" to Huntington Beach's Central Park on July 22nd, 2017. The new Central Park venue is over 350 acres with plenty of open spaces to park Porsches and gave a more open feel than the almost-cramped Dana Point location.
According to one club official, "People seemed to really enjoy the extra space to spread out as well as the shade that the many trees provided. There were more than a few couples enjoying lunch together under the shade."
As usual, the Concours was well-run and featured some of the best 356s in the world. The judges had a hard time picking some of the classes as the cars were all so nice. There were a record number of cars in the Fully Judged Concours classes—highlighting the growth in seriously well-done restorations.
